Confinement Break

I think there would not be this thing called Post Natal Depression if they isn't a thing called confinement. It's only been 15 days but it already feels like 15 months jail term. Even jailbirds get better food I bet.

My mum is rather strict when it comes to confinement food and restrictions. Well, she has her own reasons and I am the consequence of her bad experience. She had what in Malay called 'Darah Semboyan'. Not sure if I spelled that correctly but yeah basically she fell horribly ill during the post natal days due to her negligence in keeping to 'confinement rules'.

So indeed, it's liberating to get confinement break today. I had to go down to NIE to collect my gown and documents and there is no one else who can do them for me. Bukakaka! Although it was only one hour out of the house and back, it was nice to smell the humid but yet fresh air.

Oh and I had this Avent Comfort breast shell set on while making the trip - to prevent leaking - at the same time collect any drips of breastmilk. How cool is that. I don't remember getting them myself but I think it's a good investment especially if you intend to breastfeed for sometime and useful for short trips.
